Merge Files Function

What it does
The Merge Files function allows you to combine multiple files, photos, videos, drawings, and other documents which share the same extensions into a single, unified file with tracking information built from the input selection. This feature simplifies managing related files by merging them into one monitored file.

How it helps
By consolidating related files, this tool helps reduce clutter and makes it easier to manage large projects that involve multiple data sets. It’s particularly useful for projects with various versions or related content that needs to be accessed together. It’s also key in adopting Starling when several files are actually all versions of the same thing, and the user wants to unclutter.

How to

  1. Select the files you want to merge.
  2. Right-click on your selection and choose "Merge files" from the drop-down menu.

Starling will merge the selected files into a single monitored file, helping you stay organized and efficient in your file management.

Select items, click “Merge”. Done.

If you don’t select discard, all documents are kept.
